Institute of Journalism at Warsaw University and the College of Eastern Europe invite to the conference

"Jan Nowak-Jezioranski. Home Army Courier. Head of Radio Free Europe. Politician"

Conference shall be held on 11 June 2010 at 12.00 in Tyszkiewicz-Potocki Palace in Warsaw University (Krakowskie Przedmiescie 26/28  str., Warsaw).

Director of the conference is prof. Pawel Machcewicz.

Jan Nowak-Jezioranski Award 2010

On 4 June 2010 at 12:00 at the Auditorium of the National Ossolinski Institute in Wroclaw there will be a ceremony of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski Award 2010.
Person awarded this year is prof. Leszek Balcerowicz, the author of Polish economic reform.
Jan Nowak-Jezioranski Award was established by Jan Nowak-Jezioranski, city of Wroclaw, Wroclaw University, The National Ossolinski Institute and the College of Eastern Europe.

Jan Nowak-Jezioranski In Memoriam in London

On 29 May 2010 at 17:30 in the hall of Polish Social and Cultural Association Ltd.  in London shall be held the meeting dedicated to the memory of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski. The meeting is organized by Polish Embassy in the UK and the College of Eastern Europe. Participants of the meeting are: prof. Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, prof. Norman Davies and Jacek Taylor.

Press Conference

Mayor of Warsaw’s Office is pleased to invite to a press conference about 5th Anniversary of the death of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski
 
In Warsaw, 5th anniversary of death of the Courier will be commemorated on 18 - 20 January. Residents of the polish capital will pay tribute to the Courier from Warsaw during a solemn Mass in the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, and laying flowers on the Jan Nowak-Jezioranski’s grave. There will be the opportunity to participate in the review of moovies on Jan Nowak-Jezioranski’s and listen to the memoirs on Jan Nowak-Jezioranski in the Warsaw Rising Museum, and the Radio Cafe.

The conference will be held on Frihday, January 15, 2010 at 10.30 in the City Hall  (room 131, pl. Bankowy 3/5)
 

Patricipants: Mayor of Warsaw, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, and the Chairman of the Honorary Commemoration Committee, Professor Wladyslaw Bartoszewski.

The ceremony will take place on January 20, 2010 at 12.00 in Old Powazki Cemetery

 

 

Mass for the soul of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski

Chairman of 5th Anniversary of the death of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski Honorary Commemoration Committee prof. Wladysław Bartoszewski is pleased to invite the solemn Mass for the soul of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski.

Mass will be celebrated by  Archbishop Kazimierz Nycz, Metropolitan of Warsaw.

Homily will be delivered by Archibishop Jozef Zycinski, Metropolitan of Lublin.

Mass will be held on January 19, 2010 at 19.00 in the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Warsaw,8  Swietojanska Street.

 

 

Celebrating 5th Anniversary of the death of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski

Professor Wladysław Bartoszewski appointed 5th Anniversary of the death of Jan Nowak-Jezioranski Honorary Commemoration Committee.

The ceremonies begins on January 18, 2010 in Warsaw, and ends on November 11, 2010 in Wroclaw.

Coordinator of commemoration ceremonies is the College of Eastern Europe named after Jan Nowak-Jezioranski.
